Molybdenum boat and tungsten boat have obvious differences in material properties, applications and temperature resistance.
First, from the material point of view, molybdenum boat is mainly made of high-purity molybdenum metal, while tungsten boat is mainly made of high purity tungsten metal. The purity of molybdenum boat usually reaches more than 99.95%, with excellent thermal stability and high temperature resistance. In comparison, tungsten boat also has high purity, with a purity of more than 99.95%, but its hardness is higher, and its wear resistance and corrosion resistance are also stronger.
Secondly, there are differences in use. Due to the high temperature stability and good conductivity of molybdenum boat, it is often used in vacuum coating processes in electronic device manufacturing, such as as evaporation material in electron tube manufacturing. And tungsten boat is widely used in powder metallurgy, ceramic sintering and metal smelting due to its high melting point and high temperature strength.
Finally, in terms of temperature resistance, the temperature resistance of molybdenum boat is above 1500℃, while the melting point of tungsten boat is as high as 3410℃, with better temperature resistance. This makes the tungsten boat more stable in high temperature environments and suitable for applications that require working at extremely high temperatures.
In general, molybdenum boats and tungsten boats each have their own unique characteristics and advantages, and are suitable for different fields and uses.
